Story: Out of the primordial wilderness, with the purpose and drive of a prophet, stepped the character of Evolet. In her ancient tongue the name means “to bring life,” and this is her quest. The primitive protagonist of the film 10, 000 B.C. seeks to save her people, her actions and words act as a shining light in a darkened world.  Flash forward to the 21st century and that very same quest to bring enlightenment and musical life to the masses is underway in the form of alternative rock band, EVOLETT. Inspired by the cinematic message of their celluloid heroine, by the camaraderie and talent of their fellow band mates, and more importantly, the Christian faith of all five musicians, EVOLETT has come to life! Hailing from Montgomery, AL, the band consists of Tyler Gates (guitar), Haden Brightwell (vocals), Stephen Taunton (drums), Jonathan Flurry (guitar) and Russ Daly (bass).

While EVOLETT is not a “Christian Rock” band per se, the self-taught, five-piece group formed after Taunton met Flurry through a local Bible study in 2008. Later, Gates, a high school friend of Taunton’s, Brightwell, and Daly joined the band, and all site their Christian faith as their largest inspiration.
